Gateron G Pro 3.0 Black linear switches are designed for mechanical keyboards where you desire a smooth action without a tactile bump and without a click. The black variant is among the stiffest linear switches in the G Pro 3.0 series, with an operating force of 60 ± 15 gf and a bottoming force of 70 gf, ensuring that the key provides noticeable resistance and your finger stays on it better. The switches feature 3 pins and an MX type cross stem, compatible with most standard keycaps. The package contains 30 switches, sufficient for outfitting a smaller macro keyboard or numeric keypad, or for replacing the gaming section of the keyboard.
The third generation G Pro introduces reinforced pins that are more resistant to bending without increasing their thickness. The upper housing is transparent and, according to the manufacturer, better focuses the light, making the switches suitable for keyboards with SMD RGB backlighting and the light disperses more evenly under the key compared to the previous version 2.0. The switches are factory lubricated, providing a smooth action right out of the box, and no additional adjustments are necessary. The pre-travel is 2.0 ± 0.6 mm, the total travel is up to 4.0 mm, and the spring has a length of 15.4 mm.

Before replacement, ensure that the keyboard has hot-swap sockets with holes for the switch pins; they are not compatible with socket types that do not have pin holes. Before inserting, check that the pins are straight, and insert the switch perpendicularly and without excessive force to avoid bending the pins. A switch puller, which is not included in the package, is useful for removing the original switches from a hot-swap keyboard.
Gateron G Pro 3.0 Black switches are especially appreciated by those who prefer a stiffer linear action and do not want the key to respond to a light touch of the finger. The higher operating force helps limit accidental presses while typing or gaming, and the smooth action without a tactile bump allows for rapid repeated presses. The set of 30 pieces is practical for replacing the gaming section of the keyboard, outfitting a macro keyboard or numeric keypad, and there will be a few left over for spares. The black switches can also be combined with lighter switches on other keys if you want a stiffer feel only on selected keys. If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).
