Gateron G Pro 3.0 Black linear switches are designed for mechanical keyboards where you desire a smooth action without a tactile bump and without a click. The black variant is among the stiffest linear switches in the G Pro 3.0 series, with an operating force of 60 ± 15 gf and a bottom-out force of 70 gf, making the key noticeably resistant and allowing your finger to stay better on it. The switches have 3 pins and an MX type cross stem, compatible with most standard keycaps. The pack contains 100 switches, sufficient for equipping a full keyboard with a 96% layout, approximately 96 to 100 keys, or a TKL keyboard with some spare.
The third generation of G Pro features reinforced pins that are more resistant to bending without increasing their thickness. The upper housing is transparent and, according to the manufacturer, better focuses light, making the switches suitable for keyboards with SMD RGB backlighting, and the light is dispersed more evenly under the key than in the previous version 2.0. The switches are factory lubed, ensuring a smooth action right out of the box without the need for additional modification. The pre-travel distance is 2.0 ± 0.6 mm, total travel up to 4.0 mm, and the spring length is 15.4 mm.

Before replacement, ensure that the keyboard has hot-swap sockets with holes for the switch pins; they are not compatible with socket types that use a clamp. Before inserting, check that the pins are straight, and insert the switch vertically and without excessive force to avoid bending the pins. A switch puller, which is not included in the package, is useful for removing the original switches from a hot-swap keyboard.
Gateron G Pro 3.0 Black switches are especially appreciated by those who prefer a stiffer linear action and do not want the key to respond to a light touch of the finger. The higher operating force helps reduce unwanted presses while typing or gaming, and the smooth action without a tactile bump allows for rapid repeated presses. The set of 100 pieces is sufficient for a complete installation of a 96% layout keyboard, and with a TKL keyboard, more than ten switches will remain as a spare in case of damage. It is a practical choice if you want to convert a keyboard with numeric keys into a uniform stiffer linear action in a compact layout. If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).
