The PRUNUS J-366 emergency radio in the shortwave version is a small receiver for your backpack, car, holiday home, or home emergency kit. In addition to regular listening to stations in the FM and AM bands, it offers two shortwave bands SW1 3.0–10.0 MHz and SW2 10.1–22.0 MHz, where you can also catch distant stations. The radio has a built-in rechargeable battery 2000 mAh (7400 mWh), which can be charged via the hand crank, solar panel, or USB-C connector. This ensures it remains functional even during power outages or in places without any sockets. The green body is discreet and fits well with outdoor equipment.
The receiver uses a retractable telescopic antenna and a built-in speaker with an amplifier. You can switch between bands using the sliding switch under the scale, where you select between FM, AM, SW1, and SW2. The front panel features POWER, TUNE, and SOL indicators, and four LEDs above the scale show the battery status from 25% to 100%. When the power goes out, simply turn the hand crank or place the radio with the solar panel in the sun. For prolonged outages, you can insert three AAA batteries into the battery compartment, which are sold separately. The switch on the top activates the LED torch for movement in the dark or triggers the SOS alarm with a piercing sound and flashing light to alert those nearby. The strap allows you to hang the radio on a backpack, in a tent, or on a hook in the kitchen. Wipe the plastic body with a dry cloth after use and retract the antenna before storing to prevent bending.
