A ten-metre roll of double-walled heat shrink tubing with adhesive is designed for those who work with cabling on a larger scale. The internal diameter before shrinking is 6 mm, and due to the shrink ratio of 4:1, the tubing shrinks to as small as 1.5 mm when heated. The internal layer of hot melt adhesive melts upon heating, encasing the conductor and sealing the joint airtight. The joint is then insulated and protected against moisture, corrosion, and dirt. The length of 10 m is suitable for workshops, service centres, and extensive projects.
The tubing features an outer layer made of polyolefin, which resists abrasion and protects the joint when bending the cable, and an internal layer of adhesive that solidifies upon cooling, reinforcing the joint. After shrinking, the wall thickness is approximately 1.1 mm, with the adhesive layer measuring about 0.4 mm. The material is self-extinguishing. The 6 mm diameter is suitable for thicker conductors, cable lugs, crimp connectors, connectors, or bundles of several thin cables. Large packs are beneficial for auto electricians, electricians, marine technicians, and DIY enthusiasts who repair vehicle wiring, install lighting, or build their own electronics.
Thanks to the adhesive inside, no water can penetrate the joint even under prolonged exposure to moisture. Such protection is crucial for wiring in a vehicle's undercarriage, for trailer and caravan lighting, for connections to pumps and fans, for outdoor wiring in gardens, and for onboard electrical installations in boats.

Slide the tubing onto the conductor beforehand and after connecting the conductors, move it over the centre of the joint. Heat it evenly around the circumference with a heat gun until it tightly shrinks and the adhesive seeps out from the edges. The adhesive melts at temperatures from 100 °C. Direct the heat from the centre to the edges to allow air to escape from the joint. Work with the joint only after it has cooled down.
The black heat shrink tubing with adhesive with a diameter of 6 mm is a practical helper wherever a joint needs to be insulated and simultaneously sealed. The layer of hot melt adhesive protects the joint against water, dust, and shocks. Ten metres lasts a long time and covers even extensive cabling. Pieces can simply be cut to size as needed and heated. The remainder of the roll fits into a toolbox for further work.
