Overview
Connecting Tube for Garden Poles 16 mm 10 pcs Length 89 mm Plastic Connector for Adjusting Poles Green For Higher Supports for Tomatoes and Cucumbers

The connecting tube is used to extend garden poles; you insert one pole into each end to create one longer support. The tube is designed for poles with a diameter of 16 mm and measures 89 mm. It has an internal stop, allowing you to insert both poles to the same depth. It is made of green plastic, which blends in among plants in the garden. The package contains 10 pieces, so you can adjust up to ten poles at once.

The surface of the tube features a fine wavy relief, which makes the connection on the support appear discreet. Poles with a diameter of 16 mm are among the most commonly used garden supports and are suitable for medium and tall plants, such as cordon tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, or climbing beans. When plants outgrow the original support during the summer, you can attach the connecting tube to the pole and extend it with another pole without disassembling the entire structure. You can easily create a longer support in a raised bed or greenhouse from shorter poles left over from previous years.

You can also use connecting tubes when building larger structures from poles, such as horizontal crossbars between two canopy supports or longer frames above the bed. The connected poles can be supplemented with cross clamps or joint holders of the same diameter to assemble a support precisely according to the size of the bed. When you disassemble the structure in the autumn, shorter poles are easier to store than one long one, and in the spring, you can reassemble them to the required length.

  • Type – connecting tube for extending garden poles
  • Pole Diameter – 16 mm
  • Length – 89 mm

  • Material – plastic
  • Colour – green
  • Use – extending supports for tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and climbing beans

During assembly, insert one pole into the tube up to the internal stop and slide the second pole in from the other side. Drive the bottom end of the connected pole sufficiently deep into the ground so that the support stands firmly even under the weight of the fruits. It is advisable to place the connection towards the top of the support, where the load is lighter. As the plants grow, loosely tie them to the poles. At the end of the season, disconnect the poles, wash the tubes with water, let them dry, and store them with the poles in a dry place.

The package of 10 connecting tubes for 16 mm garden poles will save you from purchasing longer poles when you need to set up a support. The tubes made of plastic can be attached without tools, and thanks to the stop, you can insert both poles to the same depth. The green connectors are unobtrusive in the garden and are suitable for most common garden poles of the same diameter. They are reusable, so you can disassemble them after harvest and use them again next year. You will find them useful in the vegetable garden, in a raised bed, and in the greenhouse.
