It is entirely made of ceramic with a smooth white surface, and in the centre of the base, it has raised teeth arranged in rays. Simply press a piece of ginger, a clove of garlic, or a piece of carrot against the base and rub it in a circular motion. The grated material remains inside the bowl and does not spread across the work surface or cutting board.
