The braided heat shrink tubing combines the properties of classic heat shrink tubing and durable textile sleeves. This piece has an internal diameter of 8 mm and a length of 30 m, making it suitable for power cables, thicker wires, and smaller cable bundles. When heated with hot air, the sleeve shrinks at a ratio of 2:1 and tightly wraps around the protected wiring. The braided surface is flexible, resistant to abrasion, and according to the manufacturer, helps reduce cable noise. The thirty-metre length is sufficient for extensive installations and regular work with thicker wires in service.
Shrinking begins at approximately 80 °C and full shrinkage is achieved around 120 °C. A hot air gun is sufficient for heating; the manufacturer also mentions the option of using a lighter. Once cooled, the tubing forms a continuous textile layer that protects the insulation of the wires from mechanical damage, abrasion, and heat. The material is self-extinguishing with a flammability rating of VW-1 and withstands operating temperatures from −40 to +150 °C, making it suitable for wiring in cars or electrical appliances that heat up during operation. The tubing can be used for protecting joints, terminating cables, extending wires, and bundling several thin cables into one neat bundle.

- Operating temperature – −40 to +150 °C
- Melting point – 240 °C
- Flame resistance – self-extinguishing, class VW-1
- Properties – flexibility, abrasion resistance, thermal insulation, noise reduction
- Shrinking method – hot air gun or lighter
- Application – electronics, electrical appliances, automation, car wiring, cable bundles
- Package contents – 1 x braided heat shrink tubing with an internal diameter of 8 mm and a length of 30 m
When selecting the size, follow the diameter of the cable. The manufacturer recommends choosing tubing approximately 3 mm larger than the diameter of the protected wiring. For flat cables or bundles with a rectangular cross-section, the required diameter is calculated by adding the width and height, multiplying by two, dividing by 3.14, and adding 3 mm. The tubing is supplied in one piece, so you can cut it to the exact lengths you need before shrinking. Slide it onto the cable before connecting the connectors, then move it to the desired position and evenly heat it along its entire length.
The braided heat shrink tubing with a diameter of 8 mm is a practical accessory for anyone repairing, modifying, or newly installing electrical systems. The length of 30 m covers extensive installations, wiring of distribution boards, and repeated modifications of thicker cables in service. The textile surface protects wires from abrasion, the heat from the hot air gun quickly shrinks it, resulting in neatly and securely stored cabling. Thanks to its self-extinguishing properties and resistance up to +150 °C, it can be used in electronics, automation, electrical appliances, and cars.
