The braided heat shrink tubing combines the properties of traditional heat shrink tubing and a durable textile sleeve. This piece has an internal diameter of 8 mm and a length of 10 m, making it suitable for power cables, thicker wires, and smaller cable bundles. When heated with hot air, the sleeve shrinks at a ratio of 2:1 and tightly envelops the protected wiring. The braided surface is flexible, resistant to abrasion, and according to the manufacturer, helps reduce cable noise. The ten-metre length provides a stock for repeated work with thicker cables and wire bundles.
Shrinking begins at approximately 80 °C and full shrinkage is achieved around 120 °C. A hot air gun is sufficient for heating, and the manufacturer also mentions the possibility of using a lighter. Once cooled, the tubing forms a continuous textile layer that protects the insulation of the wires from mechanical damage, abrasion, and heat. The material is self-extinguishing with a flammability rating of VW-1 and withstands operating temperatures from −40 to +150 °C, making it suitable for automotive wiring or electrical appliances that heat up during operation. The tubing can be used to protect joints, terminate cables, extend wires, and bundle several thin cables into one neat bundle.
- Type – braided textile heat shrink tubing for cables

- Operating temperature – −40 to +150 °C
- Melting point – 240 °C
- Flame resistance – self-extinguishing, class VW-1
- Properties – flexibility, abrasion resistance, thermal insulation, noise reduction
- Shrinking method – hot air gun or lighter
- Usage – electronics, electrical appliances, automation, automotive wiring, cable bundles
- Package contents – 1 x braided heat shrink tubing with an internal diameter of 8 mm and a length of 10 m
When selecting the size, follow the diameter of the cable. The manufacturer recommends choosing tubing approximately 3 mm larger than the diameter of the protected wiring. For flat cables or bundles with a rectangular cross-section, the required diameter is calculated by multiplying the sum of the width and height by two, dividing by 3.14, and adding 3 mm. The tubing is supplied in one piece, so you can cut it to the exact lengths you need before shrinking. Slide it onto the cable before connecting the connectors, then move it to the desired position and evenly heat it along its entire length.
The braided heat shrink tubing with a diameter of 8 mm is a practical addition for anyone repairing, modifying, or newly installing electrical wiring. The length of 10 m is a practical stock for repeated cable repairs in the workshop, home, or car. The textile surface protects wires from abrasion, the heat from the hot air gun quickly shrinks it, resulting in neatly and securely stored wiring. Thanks to its self-extinguishing properties and resistance up to +150 °C, it can be used in electronics, automation, electrical appliances, and in cars.
