The braided heat shrink tubing combines a flexible textile sleeve with the ability to shrink when heated. This piece has an internal diameter of 6 mm and a length of 2 m, making it suitable for standard cables, power leads, and smaller cable bundles. When heated with hot air, the sleeve contracts at a ratio of 2:1 to approximately 3 mm in diameter and tightly wraps around the protected wiring. The braided surface is flexible, resistant to abrasion, and according to the manufacturer, helps to dampen cable noise. Two metres in one continuous piece is sufficient for several shorter sections or one longer cable.
Shrinking begins at approximately 80 °C and the tubing achieves full shrinkage around 120 °C. A hot air gun can be used for heating, and the manufacturer also mentions the possibility of using a lighter. Once cooled, a continuous textile layer remains on the cable, protecting the insulation from mechanical damage, abrasion, and heat. The material is self-extinguishing with a flammability rating of VW-1 and withstands operating temperatures from −40 to +150 °C, making it suitable for use in cars or electrical appliances that heat up during operation. The tubing protects joints, cable terminations, and stressed areas of wiring, and can bundle multiple cables into one neat package.

Select the size according to the diameter of the cable. The manufacturer recommends tubing approximately 3 mm larger than the diameter of the protected wiring. For flat cables or bundles with a rectangular cross-section, add the width and height, multiply the result by two, divide by 3.14, and add 3 mm. Two metres of tubing are provided as one continuous piece, so cut it into lengths according to the cable lengths before shrinking. Slide it onto the cable before connecting the connectors, move it to the desired position, and evenly heat it along its entire length.
The braided heat shrink tubing with a diameter of 6 mm and a length of 2 m is suitable for repairs and modifications of wiring in cars, workshops, and homes. Two metres will cover the protection of several cables or one longer lead without unnecessary waste. The textile surface protects the insulation from abrasion and after shrinking with hot air, creates a solid and neat cover on the cables.
