The braided heat shrink tubing combines the properties of classic heat shrink tubing and a durable textile braid. This piece has an internal diameter of 4 mm and a length of 5 m, making it suitable for thin wires, individual cables, and smaller cable bundles. When heated with hot air, the braid shrinks at a ratio of 2:1 and tightly wraps around the protected wiring. The braided surface is flexible, highly resistant to abrasion, and according to the manufacturer, helps reduce cable noise. The five-metre piece is ideal for larger jobs where you need to protect multiple cables or longer runs at once.
Shrinking begins at approximately 80 °C and full shrinkage is achieved around 120 °C. A heat gun is sufficient for heating, and the manufacturer also mentions the possibility of using a lighter. Once cooled, the tubing forms a continuous textile layer that protects the insulation of the wires from mechanical damage, abrasion, and heat. The material is self-extinguishing with a flammability rating of VW-1 and withstands operating temperatures from −40 to +150 °C, making it suitable for wiring in cars or electrical appliances that heat up during operation. The tubing can be used to protect joints, terminate cables, extend wires, or bundle several thin cables into one tidy bundle.

- Contents – 1 x braided heat shrink tubing with an internal diameter of 4 mm and a length of 5 m
When selecting the size, follow the diameter of the cable. The manufacturer recommends choosing tubing approximately 3 mm larger than the diameter of the protected wiring. For flat cables or bundles with a rectangular cross-section, the required diameter is calculated by summing the width and height, multiplying by two, dividing by 3.14, and adding 3 mm. The tubing is supplied in one piece, so you can cut it to the exact lengths you need before shrinking. Slide it onto the cable before connecting the connectors, then move it to the desired location and evenly heat it along its entire length.
The braided heat shrink tubing with a diameter of 4 mm is a practical accessory for anyone repairing, modifying, or newly installing electrical wiring. The length of 5 m is suitable for larger jobs where you need to protect multiple cable bundles or longer runs at once. The textile surface protects the wires from abrasion, and the heat from the heat gun quickly shrinks it, resulting in neatly and securely organised cabling. Thanks to its self-extinguishing properties and resistance up to +150 °C, it can be used in electronics, automation, electrical appliances, and in cars.
