The braided heat shrink tubing combines a flexible textile sleeve with the ability to shrink with heat. This piece has an internal diameter of 4 mm and a length of 30 m, making it suitable for thin wires, individual cables, and smaller cable bundles. When heated with hot air, the sleeve contracts at a ratio of 2:1 and tightly encases the protected wiring. The braided surface is flexible, highly resistant to abrasion, and according to the manufacturer, helps to dampen cable noise. Thirty metres in one continuous piece is a substantial supply for a professional workshop, electronics service, or extensive electrical installation.
Shrinking begins at approximately 80 °C and the tubing reaches full shrinkage around 120 °C. A hot air gun can be used for heating, and the manufacturer also mentions the option of using a lighter. Once cooled, a continuous textile layer remains on the cable, protecting the insulation from mechanical damage, abrasion, and heat. The material is self-extinguishing with a flammability rating of VW-1 and withstands operating temperatures from −40 to +150 °C, making it suitable for automotive use or electrical appliances that heat up during operation. The tubing protects connections, cable terminations, and extended wires, and can bundle several thin cables into one neat package.

Select the size according to the diameter of the cable. The manufacturer recommends tubing approximately 3 mm larger than the diameter of the protected wiring. For flat cables or bundles with a rectangular cross-section, add the width and height, multiply the result by two, divide by 3.14, and add 3 mm. The thirty metres of tubing comes as one continuous piece, allowing you to cut it into sections exactly as needed before shrinking. Slide it onto the cable before connecting the connectors, position it where required, and evenly heat it along its entire length.
