The braided heat shrink tubing combines a flexible textile sleeve with the ability to shrink when heated. This piece has an inner diameter of 4 mm and a length of 10 m, making it suitable for thin wires, individual cables, and smaller cable bundles. When heated with hot air, the sleeve shrinks at a ratio of 2:1 and tightly encases the protected wiring. The braided surface is flexible, highly resistant to abrasion, and according to the manufacturer, helps to dampen cable noise. Ten metres in one continuous piece is sufficient for extensive cable management, such as when rearranging a workbench, distribution board, or installation in a vehicle.
Shrinking begins at approximately 80 °C and the tubing reaches full shrinkage around 120 °C. A hot air gun can be used for heating, and the manufacturer also mentions the possibility of using a lighter. Once cooled, a continuous textile layer remains on the cable, protecting the insulation from mechanical damage, abrasion, and heat. The material is self-extinguishing with a flammability rating of VW-1 and can withstand operating temperatures from −40 to +150 °C, making it suitable for use in vehicles or electrical appliances that heat up during operation. The tubing protects joints, cable terminations, and extended wires, and can combine several thin cables into one neat bundle.
- Type – braided textile heat shrink tubing for cables

- Usage – electronics, electrical appliances, automation, vehicle wiring, cable bundles
- Package Contents – 1 x braided heat shrink tubing with an inner diameter of 4 mm and a length of 10 m
Select the size according to the diameter of the cable. The manufacturer recommends tubing approximately 3 mm larger than the diameter of the protected wiring. For flat cables or bundles with a rectangular cross-section, add the width and height together, multiply the result by two, divide by 3.14, and add 3 mm. Ten metres of tubing is provided as one continuous piece, allowing you to cut it into sections exactly as needed before shrinking. Slide it onto the cable before connecting the connectors, move it to the desired location, and evenly heat it along its entire length.
The braided heat shrink tubing with a diameter of 4 mm and a length of 10 m is ideal for anyone who regularly repairs or installs electrical wiring. Ten metres is suitable for projects where you are protecting wiring in multiple locations at once and want to have a supply for later repairs. The textile surface protects wires from abrasion, and after shrinking with hot air, it creates a securely and neatly organised cable layout. Thanks to its self-extinguishing properties and resistance up to +150 °C, it can be used in electronics, automation, appliances, and vehicles.
