The braided heat shrink tubing combines the properties of traditional heat shrink tubing and a durable textile sleeve. This piece has an internal diameter of 25 mm and a length of 2 m, making it suitable for extra thick power cables, very wide wire bundles, and thick conductors. When heated with hot air, the sleeve shrinks at a ratio of 2:1 and tightly wraps around the protected conductor. The braided surface is flexible, highly abrasion-resistant, and according to the manufacturer, helps reduce cable noise. The two-metre piece is sufficient for several repairs of extra thick cables or for protecting shorter and very wide wire bundles.
Shrinking begins at approximately 80 °C and full shrinkage is achieved around 120 °C. A hot air gun is sufficient for heating, and the manufacturer also mentions the possibility of using a lighter. Once cooled, the tubing forms a continuous textile layer that protects the insulation of the conductors from mechanical damage, abrasion, and heat. The material is self-extinguishing with a flammability rating of VW-1 and withstands operating temperatures from −40 to +150 °C, making it suitable for wiring in cars or electrical appliances that heat up during operation. The tubing can be used to protect joints, terminate cables, extend conductors, or bundle several thin cables into one neat bundle.

When selecting the size, refer to the diameter of the cable. The manufacturer recommends choosing tubing approximately 3 mm larger than the diameter of the protected conductor. For flat cables or bundles with a rectangular cross-section, the required diameter is calculated by adding the width and height, multiplying by two, dividing by 3.14, and adding 3 mm. The tubing is supplied in one piece, so you can cut it to the exact lengths you need before shrinking. Slide it onto the cable before connecting the connectors, then move it to the desired position and evenly heat it along its entire length.
