The braided heat shrink tubing combines the properties of traditional heat shrink tubing and durable textile braiding. This piece has an internal diameter of 10 mm and a length of 3 m, making it suitable for thicker power cables, wire bundles, and thicker wiring. When heated with hot air, the braid shrinks at a ratio of 2:1 and tightly encases the protected wiring. The braided surface is flexible, highly resistant to abrasion, and according to the manufacturer, helps reduce cable noise. The three-metre piece is sufficient to protect several thicker cables or one longer wire bundle.
Shrinking begins at approximately 80 °C and full shrinkage is achieved around 120 °C. A hot air gun is sufficient for heating, and the manufacturer also mentions the possibility of using a lighter. Once cooled, the tubing forms a continuous textile layer that protects the wire insulation from mechanical damage, abrasion, and heat. The material is self-extinguishing with a flammability rating of VW-1 and withstands operating temperatures from −40 to +150 °C, making it suitable for wiring in cars or electrical appliances that heat up during operation. The tubing can be used to protect joints, terminate cables, extend wires, and group several thin cables into one tidy bundle.

- Contents – 1 x braided heat shrink tubing with an internal diameter of 10 mm and a length of 3 m
When selecting the size, refer to the diameter of the cable. The manufacturer recommends choosing tubing approximately 3 mm larger than the diameter of the protected wiring. For flat cables or bundles with a rectangular cross-section, the required diameter is calculated by adding the width and height, multiplying by two, dividing by 3.14, and adding 3 mm. The tubing is supplied in one piece, so you can cut it to the exact lengths you need before shrinking. Slide it onto the cable before connecting the connectors, then move it to the desired position and evenly heat it along its entire length.
The braided heat shrink tubing with a diameter of 10 mm is a practical accessory for anyone repairing, modifying, or newly installing electrical wiring. The length of 3 m is sufficient to protect thicker cables in cars, power cables for computers, or several smaller bundles. The textile surface protects wires from abrasion, the heat from the hot air gun quickly shrinks it, resulting in neatly and securely arranged wiring. Thanks to its self-extinguishing properties and resistance up to +150 °C, it can be used in electronics, automation, electrical appliances, and in cars.
