The braided heat shrink tube combines a flexible textile braid with the ability to shrink when heated. This piece has an internal diameter of 6 mm and a length of 1 m, making it suitable for standard power and data cables as well as smaller cable bundles. When heated with hot air, the braid shrinks at a ratio of 2:1, down to approximately 3 mm in diameter, tightly enclosing the protected wiring. The braided surface is flexible, highly abrasion-resistant, and according to the manufacturer, helps to dampen cable noise. One metre is adequate for a one-time repair of a damaged cable or for modifying a single bundle.
Shrinking begins at approximately 80 °C and the tubing achieves full shrinkage around 120 °C. A heat gun can be used for heating, and the manufacturer also mentions the possibility of using a lighter. Once cooled, a continuous textile layer remains on the cable, protecting the insulation from mechanical damage, abrasion, and heat. The material is self-extinguishing with a flammability rating of VW-1 and withstands operating temperatures from −40 to +150 °C, making it suitable for use in vehicles or electrical appliances that heat up during operation. The tubing protects connections, cable terminations, and areas where the insulation rubs against edges, and can bundle several cables neatly together.

Select the size according to the diameter of the cable. The manufacturer recommends a tubing approximately 3 mm larger than the diameter of the protected wiring. For flat cables or bundles with a rectangular cross-section, sum the width and height, multiply the result by two, divide by 3.14, and add 3 mm. The metre of tubing comes as one piece that can be used whole or cut into shorter sections before shrinking. Slide it onto the cable before connecting any connectors, move it to the desired position, and evenly heat it along its entire length.
The braided heat shrink tube with a diameter of 6 mm and a length of 1 m is practical for smaller repairs at home, in the workshop, or in the car. One metre is sufficient to protect a charger cable, an extension lead, or a short bundle behind a computer. The textile surface protects the conductors from abrasion, and after shrinking with hot air, it holds the cabling firmly and neatly together. Thanks to its self-extinguishing properties and resistance up to +150 °C, it can be used in electronics, electrical appliances, automation, and in vehicles.
