The braided heat shrink tube combines the properties of a classic heat shrink tube and a durable textile sleeve. This piece has an inner diameter of 16 mm and a length of 2 m, making it suitable for heavy power cables, bulk wire bundles, and thick conductors. When heated with hot air, the sleeve shrinks at a ratio of 2:1 and tightly conforms to the protected wiring. The braided surface is flexible, highly abrasion-resistant, and according to the manufacturer, helps reduce cable noise. A two-metre piece is sufficient for several repairs of heavy cables or for protecting a shorter bulk wire bundle.
Shrinking begins at approximately 80 °C and full shrinkage is achieved around 120 °C. A hot air gun is adequate for heating, and the manufacturer also mentions the possibility of using a lighter. After cooling, the tube forms a continuous textile layer that protects the insulation of the wires from mechanical damage, abrasion, and heat. The material is self-extinguishing with a flammability class of VW-1 and withstands operating temperatures from −40 to +150 °C, making it suitable for wiring in cars or in electrical appliances that heat up during operation. The tube can be used to protect joints, terminate cables, extend wires, or bundle several thin cables into one neat bundle.

When selecting the size, follow the diameter of the cable. The manufacturer recommends choosing a tube approximately 3 mm larger than the diameter of the protected conductor. For flat cables or bundles with a rectangular cross-section, the required diameter is calculated by multiplying the sum of the width and height by two, dividing by 3.14, and adding 3 mm. The tube is supplied in one piece, so you can cut it to the exact lengths you need before shrinking. Slide it onto the cable before connecting the connectors, then move it to the desired position and evenly heat it along its entire length.
