Overview
Bee Hotel for Solitary Bees 18.4 x 15.2 x 14.5 cm Hexagonal Wooden Insect Hotel with Roof and Tubes for Assembly for the Garden

The bee hotel for solitary bees is a simple way to create a safe nesting site for beneficial insects in your garden or on your balcony. The insect hotel is made of wood in a natural shade, allowing it to blend in discreetly among trees, shrubs, and flower beds. Inside, there is a densely packed row of nesting tubes where solitary bees and other pollinators can lay their eggs and raise their offspring. The dimensions of the hotel are approximately 18.4 x 15.2 x 14.5 cm, making it suitable for smaller spaces, such as on a pergola post, fence, or the trunk of a fruit tree. Pollinators then work right where you need them, namely near fruit trees, bushes, and vegetables.

The body of the hotel has a hexagonal shape, reminiscent of a bee's honeycomb, and makes good use of the internal space for the maximum number of tubes. At the top, there is a saddle-shaped roof that overhangs the sides and front of the tubes, protecting them from rain and direct sunlight. The hotel is supplied disassembled in parts like a kit, and you will assemble it before the first use. The process is clearly illustrated in the pictures, so even beginners can manage the assembly, and the whole family can get involved. Once assembled, you can hang the hotel outside on a tree, fence, or wall in a location where it won't need to be moved frequently.

Ideally, place the hotel at eye level or slightly higher in a sunny and sheltered spot where it won't be directly exposed to wind. The entrances to the tubes should face south or southeast to warm up quickly in the morning. It is beneficial to have flowering plants nearby from which the bees can collect pollen and nectar. Leave the hotel in the same spot throughout winter, as larvae of the new generation will overwinter in the tubes. The wooden surface only needs occasional dusting and cobweb removal with a dry brush; do not use chemical products or paints near the nesting site.

The insect hotel is a practical addition for anyone looking to support natural pollination in their garden and attract beneficial insects. The compact dimensions of 18.4 x 15.2 x 14.5 cm allow it to be placed even on smaller balconies or terraces. It is suitable for gardeners growing fruits and vegetables, as well as nature lovers and families with children who enjoy observing the life of bees up close. The hotel also makes a great gift for enthusiastic gardeners and environmentally conscious friends. Thanks to its simple construction and natural appearance, the hotel will bring joy to both you and the pollinators for a long time.
