The ventilated metal lens hood is designed for lenses with a filter thread of 62 mm and prevents side light from hitting the front lens at sharp angles. Photographs taken against the sun will have less glare, less haze, and more vibrant colours. The hood screws directly onto the thread at the front of the lens, so no step-up ring or adapter is needed. Along with it, you will receive a lens cap that protects the front lens during transport and in a bag. This set is suitable for digital SLRs and mirrorless cameras from various manufacturers.
The hood is made of metal with a black finish and has longitudinal openings around the edge, typical of classic ventilated hoods. According to the manufacturer, you can continue to use the lens cap and filter with the hood attached, so you do not need to switch them while shooting. The cap is attached and removed by pressing two grips in the middle, which can be done easily with one hand. You will appreciate the hood when photographing landscapes, urban scenes, sports, or portraits outdoors on a bright day.
It is also useful outside the summer season. It helps on snow, by water, or on shiny surfaces that reflect light strongly. When shooting at night in the city, it reduces glare from street lighting and headlights. Before attaching the hood, clean the lens thread and screw the hood on lightly without excessive force. The metal surface only needs to be wiped occasionally with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth. When storing the camera in a backpack or bag, attach the cap to keep the front lens clean and scratch-free.

If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).

Write to us within 30 days of receipt at info@lunzo.ie with your order number and the variant you are interested in. We usually reply within 24 hours.
If the variant is available, we will send you instructions for the exchange. You pay the cost of sending the original item back; the new variant will be sent to you at no further charge.
