Overview
20 mm Wood Chisel with Flat Blade 115 mm Long Made of Chrome-Vanadium Steel and Orange Non-Slip Handle for Rough Cutting and Chiselling

The flat blade wood chisel with a width of 20 mm is designed for tasks requiring the removal of more material while maintaining straight edges. The blade measures 115 mm and has a straight edge bevelled on one side, allowing for easy alignment on the marking and creating clean walls in the chisel. The width of 20 mm is suitable for rough cutting, flattening tenons and joints, chiselling larger holes, and aligning recessed surfaces. It is useful in a joinery workshop, for carpentry work, and for repairing wooden elements in the home. The chisel is supplied as a standalone piece, making it easy to add another width to your set.

The blade is made of chrome-vanadium steel, which is commonly used in hand tools designed for the workshop. A metal core runs through the entire handle and ends with a metal butt, allowing the chisel to be struck safely with a mallet. The 125 mm long handle has an ergonomic shape and a non-slip TPR surface, ensuring a good grip even during extended and demanding work. The vibrant orange colour with black elements ensures that the tool is easily visible on the workbench. The wider blade also facilitates flattening surfaces, as it stabilises better on the wood.

Before working, secure the workpiece so that it cannot move during strikes with the mallet, and mark the precise boundaries of the future chisel. Remove material gradually and always lead the blade away from your body. Rough cutting can be done with the mallet, while final finishing should be done with gentle hand strokes. After use, clean the blade of shavings and moisture, regularly hone the edge on a sharpening stone, and store the chisel in a way that prevents the blade from hitting other tools.

The 20 mm flat chisel is a reliable assistant for larger joinery and carpentry tasks where a narrow tool is insufficient. It combines a durable tool steel blade with a handle that is comfortable to hold and can withstand strikes from a mallet. Weighing 207 g, it is well-balanced and stable during use. It is useful for making and repairing furniture, constructing wooden structures, and modifying beams and boards. It is suitable for DIY enthusiasts as well as for professional workshop equipment.
