Overview
Seeds of Asian Bamboo Bambusa bambos 200 pcs large pack of tropical grass with green stems for sowing exotics and creating a green wall

Bambusa bambos is one of the most robust tropical grasses that can be grown from seed in hobby conditions. This woody grass originates from the tropical regions of southern Asia, where it forms dense stands with tall stems and a characteristic green hue. The large pack contains 200 seeds, making it suitable not only for regular hobby growers but also for small nurseries, interest groups, or projects aimed at creating exotic corners in conservatories. The clumping nature of this plant makes Indian bamboo a relatively manageable species that does not spread through rhizomes in containers and forms a compact, robust stand. Young plants grown from seeds gradually acquire the typical appearance of a bamboo clump with strikingly green stems and dense foliage.

  • 200 seeds of Bambusa bambos

With such a large quantity of seeds, it is advantageous to divide the sowing into several batches and observe which conditions yield the best germination. Indian bamboo responds positively to stable temperatures, higher humidity, and bright locations, so a mini greenhouse or an improvised indoor greenhouse with a heating mat proves effective. In the first season, seedlings tend to grow more roots, whereas in subsequent years, they begin to grow rapidly in height and form the typical bamboo stems that are the main ornament of the mature plant. For successful long-term cultivation at our latitude, it is necessary to overwinter the plants in a bright and heated space, ideally in a conservatory or a well-lit room. The package of 200 seeds of Bambusa bambos represents an economical foundation for anyone who wants to fully engage in the cultivation of tropical bamboo and create their own bamboo corner at home or in a protected outdoor area.
