Indian Neem Azadirachta indica 20 pcs seeds useful tropical tree with divided pinnate leaves and grape-like fruits for collection
You already have the maximum available quantity in your cart.
Indian Neem (Azadirachta indica) is one of the most significant tropical hardwoods of the Indian climatic zone, and its cultivation from seeds is increasingly popular among Central European enthusiasts of exotic plants. The collector's pack with 20 seeds will be appreciated by anyone planning extensive planting, running a small collection nursery, or wishing to ensure a higher success rate during germination. The tree is unmistakable due to its airy, pinnate leaves with narrow sickle-shaped leaflets and typical panicle inflorescences, which lead to small drupes. In its youth, the plant resembles a slender shrub with a finely divided structure, but over the years it develops into a more robust tree with a more spreading crown. It is a rewarding botanical specimen for tropical collections, from which it is a joy to nurture your own young trees and observe their gradual development.
The sapling is highly adaptable to various growing conditions, with the only key requirement being warmth and plenty of light throughout the year. Optimal locations include a south-facing window, a heated greenhouse, or a bright conservatory with temperatures consistently above ten degrees Celsius. The soil mix should be light, airy, and well-draining – an ideal combination is garden soil mixed with sand and perlite in a ratio of about two to one. Adjust watering according to current conditions: during the growing season, water regularly but allow the surface to dry slightly between doses, and significantly reduce watering in winter. The plant does not appreciate frequent handling of the root ball in adulthood, so transplant it only once every few years into a larger pot.

Sow the seeds in moist, warmed soil, lightly cover them, and remember to regularly ventilate the mini greenhouse to prevent mould formation. By maintaining temperatures around twenty-five to thirty degrees and stable moisture, they will germinate within a few weeks and begin to produce their first true leaves in the following months. Indian Neem will transform in the hands of a patient grower into an ornamental, visually interesting tree that will bring a touch of tropical exoticism to your greenhouse or home.
