We recommend soaking the seeds in batches in soft, lukewarm water for approximately 24 hours, which will improve their germination rate. Sow into flat seed trays or growing trays filled with a light, well-draining substrate with an increased proportion of sand and perlite. Optimal conditions for germination include temperature of 25 to 30 °C, higher humidity, and plenty of diffused light — avoid direct sunlight, which could dry out the surface of the substrate. The first roots appear gradually, usually within three to eight weeks, and for some seeds, even longer. Carefully prick out the germinated seedlings into individual pots and gradually harden them off before moving them to a permanent location.
