Acacia Holosericea Seeds, 50 pcs, Acacia with Silvery Grey-Green Leaves and Yellow Spikes, Planting for Pots, Greenhouses and Collector Gardens
Acacia holosericea is among the most decorative species of the Acacia genus due to the combination of broad silvery grey-green leaves and vibrant yellow spike-like flowers. The leaves are oval to lanceolate in shape and have a fine velvety surface, giving the plant a distinctive visual character. In the package, you will receive 50 pcs of seeds, allowing you to conveniently pre-cultivate a larger quantity of seedlings for various cultivation purposes, whether for pots, greenhouses, heated conservatories, or a sheltered outdoor position during the warm part of the year. This species is sought after in horticultural practice for both its striking leaf texture and the prominent flowering that forms rich spikes above the foliage. Growing this acacia is an excellent choice for plant collectors interested in intriguing structures and contrasting colours.
Main product features:
- Botanical name: Acacia holosericea
- Quantity: 50 pcs of seeds in the package
- Leaves: broad, silvery grey-green, with a fine velvety surface
- Flowers: yellow spike-like candles emerging among the foliage
- Habit: spreading shrub or small tree with flexible branches
- Location and cultivation: full sun, warm position, well-drained soil, suitable for pots, greenhouses, conservatories or sheltered outdoor locations
- Pre-cultivation: sowing in warmth, recommended seed scarification and brief soaking in warm water before sowing
- Contents of the package: 50 pcs of Acacia holosericea seeds.
Growing this acacia is among the attractive projects for growers interested in plants with striking foliage and flowering. After pre-treatment and sowing in warm substrate, the seeds develop well, and young plants quickly gain size if they have enough light and stable soil moisture. Gradually, typical broad silvery leaves begin to appear, which are significantly different from the commonly known pinnate leaves of other acacia species. The species appreciates a sunny location and well-drained soil, where it thrives best and forms a compact habit with evenly distributed branches. In cooler areas, it is advisable to grow the plant in a portable container and move it to a frost-free sheltered space in winter to survive the adverse period. Regular watering, moderate fertilisation during the growing season, and plenty of sunlight support abundant flowering and the overall condition of the plant. For growers who wish to include an acacia with an unusual silvery texture in their collection, Acacia holosericea represents an interesting choice that will enrich any composition of exotic plants with its unique aesthetics.
