This set of two flexible magnetic mats offers a practical and modern solution for 3D printer users who need a reliably holding yet easily releaseable surface for everyday printing. The mats feature a black sanded surface with a coarser texture that ensures a strong grip for the first layer and minimises warping of the model during printing. Once printing is complete, the top can be easily removed, and even firmly adhered prints can be released with a gentle bend, eliminating the need for tools. This significantly reduces the risk of scratching, damaging, or deforming models and the print surface.
The mats are made from laminated PC material, which is heat resistant up to 70 °C without losing magnetic properties. The construction utilises a composite magnet with long-lasting durability and stable magnetic force that does not weaken over time. The surface is resistant to wear, scratching, dirt, and sweat, contributing to the longevity of the entire system. The coarser "coarse sand" layer provides good adhesion for PLA, ABS, TPU, and nylon while facilitating the removal of the print once cooled. Due to its flexibility, the top part can be bent repeatedly without damage.
Installation is quick and intuitive. The bottom part has a self-adhesive backing that attaches directly to the printer's heated bed. After removing the protective layer, the surface is smoothed out to ensure no air bubbles remain underneath. The flexible top part is then placed on the magnetic base, where it adheres magnetically, allowing printing to commence immediately. This two-layer system enables easy removal and replacement of the top mat, providing greater comfort during everyday printing.
Usage:
- 1. Remove the protective layer from the bottom magnetic part (Side B – rubber backing).
- 2. Stick the bottom part onto the print platform and smooth it thoroughly without bubbles.
- 3. Place the top part (Side A – print surface) onto the magnetic base so it adheres evenly.
- 4. After printing is complete, remove the entire top part along with the model.
- 5. Release the model by gently bending the flexible print layer.
