The diamond drill bit with a diameter of 16 mm is designed for drilling small precise holes into hard and brittle materials. It features an internal thread of M14, allowing it to be screwed directly onto the spindle of an angle grinder without the need for an additional chuck. The cutting edge is fitted with vacuum brazed diamond grains, which can handle ceramic tiles, cladding, marble, granite, stone slabs, and glass. The drill bit is intended for dry drilling without water cooling; however, it can also be used with water for extended work. It is suitable for tilers, plumbers, and DIY enthusiasts during bathroom or kitchen renovations or when laying tiles.

  • Hole Diameter 16 mm – the drill bit creates a hole with a diameter of 16 mm in tiles, cladding, stone, or glass.
  • M14 Thread – attachment directly to an angle grinder with an M14 thread.
  • Vacuum Brazed Diamond – diamond grains firmly bonded to the tool body for cutting hard and abrasive materials.
  • Dry and Wet Drilling – drilling without the need for water cooling, although water can extend the tool's lifespan.

When working, we recommend starting with the drill bit tilted at approximately 45° to create a crescent-shaped groove on the surface, which will prevent slipping on smooth glaze. Once the drill bit is held in the correct position, gradually straighten it to a vertical position and drill with a gentle circular motion and even pressure. This procedure helps maintain a clean edge of the hole and reduces the risk of chipping the glaze. The hard diamond layer retains the shape of the cutting edge even after repeated use. The plastic tube in which the drill bit is supplied makes it easy to transport and store in the workshop.

The 16 mm diamond drill bit with M14 thread is a practical addition to any angle grinder for those working with tiles, flooring, or natural stone.
