Cypress Seeds Evergreen Columnar Cupressus sempervirens stricta 1000 pcs Green Conifer for Large-Scale Avenues and Parks
You already have the maximum available quantity in your cart.
The bulk pack of one thousand seeds of Italian cypress is an offer for professional customers from the sectors of garden nurseries, landscape architecture, and the commercial dendrology industry. The evergreen columnar cypress is a classic landscape tree in Southern Europe, used for architectural division of public spaces, long avenues, and private residences. A thousand quality seeds will meet the needs of a smaller seed nursery with an estimated annual yield of several hundred seedlings intended for further cultivation or sale. Wholesale customers will appreciate the competitive price compared to purchasing smaller packs.
Italian cypress is characterised by its narrow columnar habit, which is so distinctive that it sets this plant apart from most other coniferous trees. The tree reaches a height of 15 to 25 metres over 30 to 50 years of growth, and the crown width usually remains under 2 metres. The dark green scale-like foliage is smooth, fine to the touch, and remains on the plant all year round without dropping. The tree is highly drought-resistant and tolerant of hot weather, thriving throughout the Mediterranean zone and in warmer areas of the temperate zone in Europe.
When bulk sowing a thousand seeds, it is advisable to establish an outdoor growing area of 3 to 5 square metres with a well-draining substrate mixed from garden soil, sand, and compost in a ratio of 2:1:1. Before sowing, the seeds undergo stratification in the refrigerator for 4 to 8 weeks in a moist sandy substrate. After stratification, they are sown in bulk at a depth of 5 millimetres and covered with a thin layer of sifted soil. Germination rates reach 40 to 60 percent, and sprouting typically takes 4 to 8 weeks from sowing into warm spring soil.

From a thousand cultivated seedlings, it is possible to establish a large-scale nursery production aimed at sales to commercial horticulture or urban landscaping projects. Italian cypress is a long-term stable product in the European ornamental tree market due to regular demand from owners of family villas, hotel complexes, and garden architects. For successful nursery cultivation, we recommend a sunny location with sufficient moisture in the first two years and later gradual hardening for planting in the final location. When stored in a dry and cool environment, the seeds retain germination for 2 to 4 years.
