This music box in a natural wooden finish features a delicate engraved motif on the inside of the lid. The dominant element is a stylised portrait of a girl with short hair, crafted using simple lines and fine details. Below the portrait is a handwritten inscription that complements the overall character of the motif.
The motif has a minimalist appearance, yet is sufficiently striking to catch the eye at first glance. The expression on the face is calm and slightly playful, which gives the box a unique visual style. The engraving creates a subtle contrast against the light wood and highlights the individual details.
The front of the box is adorned with a symmetrical ornamental pattern made up of repeating geometric and curved shapes. This decoration gives the product a sophisticated look while contrasting with the simple motif on the lid. The side features a metal crank for operating the mechanism.
Inside is a mechanical music movement, which is visible when the lid is opened. Operation is done by hand winding – turning the crank initiates the playback of the melody. This system does not require any batteries or electrical power, making it easy to use.
The box is made from wood, which ensures durability while maintaining the natural appearance of the material. The natural colour finish accentuates the wood grain and gives the product a warm visual character. With compact dimensions of 6.4 × 5.2 × 4.2 cm, the box is suitable for placement on smaller surfaces.
The portrait motif acts as a stylised depiction of a figure with a distinctive expression. As such, the box can serve as both a decoration and a small thematic accessory. The combination of the mechanical movement and detailed craftsmanship creates a functional and visually interesting item.
