A simple and compact sensor for water detection or measuring height operates on the principle of conductivity change between parallel copper tracks on the surface of the board. The greater the portion of the detection area that is submerged or covered by droplets, the lower the resistance and the higher the output voltage - the result can be read directly from the analog input of the microcontroller. The three-pin connection (power, ground, and output signal) facilitates connection to a breadboard or directly to a development board. Its small dimensions and weight under 4 grams make it an ideal component for personal automation and smart home projects.

The sensor can be used in a variety of practical projects - from a simple flood detector in a technical room to monitoring the level in a plant tank and automatic window closing during rain. Connect it to the analog input of the microcontroller, read the voltage value, and evaluate it according to the threshold - a value close to zero indicates dryness, while a high value indicates full submersion. The sensor can also be connected as a simple detector with digital evaluation, where the program compares the value against a chosen threshold. It is not designed for long-term underwater use as the parallel tracks suffer from electrolytic corrosion - thus, ideal deployment is for short-term detection or occasional measurement. For continuous level measurement, the sensor can be powered pulsed through a switching transistor, significantly extending its lifespan.

Once you have sent the parcel, send us the proof of dispatch with the tracking number to info@lunzo.ie – this lets us process your return as quickly as possible and refund you without waiting for the parcel to arrive.

Faulty or damaged goods
Period for claiming a fault: up to six years from delivery of the goods – within the first 30 days you can reject a faulty product and ask for a full refund, and for the first 12 months a fault is presumed to have been present on delivery
How: write to us at info@lunzo.ie and attach a photograph or a video of the goods – in most cases you do not have to send the goods back
Remedies: a replacement with a new item, a reasonable price reduction, or a refund of the full purchase price
