The Varstrom shift sensor is an accessory for electric bicycles that briefly interrupts motor power during shifting. This allows for shifting under reduced load on the drive, contributing to smoother riding and preserving gears. The sensor is mounted on the rear triangle of the frame, with the shift cable passing directly through its body. It connects to the electric bicycle's wiring via a cable ending in a round connector with 3 pins. The sensor housing is made of plastic and is in black.
- Function – the sensor reacts to the movement of the shift cable and temporarily interrupts motor power during shifting. After shifting is complete, the motor resumes assistance.
- Drive Protection – interrupting power during shifting reduces the load on the chain and gears at the moment of shifting.
- Frame Mounting – the sensor body is positioned on the rear triangle of the frame, through which the shift cable runs to the derailleur. The cable passes through an opening in the sensor housing.
- Cable Length – the cable between the connector and the sensor body measures 32 cm, with a total length including the connector and sensor of 41 cm.
- Connector – the cable ends with a round connector with three pins and a yellow tip. The body of the connector features an arrow for correct orientation during connection and grooves that facilitate gripping when connecting and disconnecting.
- Installation – during installation, the shift cable is loosened, threaded through the sensor housing, and then re-tensioned. The sensor is secured to the rear triangle of the frame, and the cable runs along the frame to the wiring connector. After connection, we recommend checking the derailleur adjustment.
- Material – the sensor housing is made of plastic.
- Design – the elongated housing with beveled edges bears the inscription Varstrom and the designation Shift Sensor on the top side. At the end of the housing is an opening through which the shift cable passes.
- Colour – both the sensor and cable are black, with the connector tip being yellow.
- Usage – suitable for electric bicycles with mechanical shifting using a cable, where you want to briefly interrupt motor power during shifting.

Faulty or damaged goods
Period for claiming a fault: up to six years from delivery of the goods – within the first 30 days you can reject a faulty product and ask for a full refund, and for the first 12 months a fault is presumed to have been present on delivery
How: write to us at info@lunzo.ie and attach a photograph or a video of the goods – in most cases you do not have to send the goods back
Remedies: a replacement with a new item, a reasonable price reduction, or a refund of the full purchase price
