The Varstrom gear sensor is an accessory for electric bikes with mechanical shifting using a cable. The sensor serves to briefly interrupt the motor's power during gear shifting, allowing the change to occur without the full load on the drive. The sensor housing is made of metal and is finished in black with a white Varstrom logo. The gear cable passes through an opening at the end of the housing, and the sensor is mounted on the electric bike's frame. It connects to the electrical system via a cable ending in a round connector with three pins.
- Function – the gear sensor detects the movement of the gear cable and allows a brief interruption of the motor's power during shifting. After shifting, the motor continues to assist.
- Metal Housing – the body of the sensor is made of metal. The housing has an elongated shape with chamfered edges and bears the Varstrom logo on the top side.
- Cable Guide – at the end of the housing, there is an opening through which the gear cable leading to the derailleur passes.
- Connector – the cable ends in a round connector with three pins and a yellow end. The body of the connector features knurling for better grip during plugging and unplugging.
- Cable – the sensor is connected to the connector with a black cable that can be routed along the frame to the electrical system connector.
- Frame Mounting – the sensor is placed on the electric bike's frame at the point where the gear cable runs, usually on the rear triangle of the frame.
- Installation – during installation, the gear cable is loosened, threaded through the sensor housing, and then re-tensioned. The cable is routed along the frame and connects to the electrical system connector. After connection, it is advisable to check the adjustment of the derailleur.
- Accessories – included in the package is a small black end cap used when routing the gear cable and housing.
- Colour – both the sensor housing and the cable are black, the logo is white with a green element, and the connector end is yellow.
- Usage – suitable for electric bikes with mechanical shifting using a cable, where you want to briefly interrupt the motor's power during gear shifting, for example, when climbing.
- Compatibility – before purchasing, it is recommended to verify that the control unit or motor of your electric bike supports the connection of the gear sensor with a three-pin connector.

Once you have sent the parcel, send us the proof of dispatch with the tracking number to info@lunzo.ie – this lets us process your return as quickly as possible and refund you without waiting for the parcel to arrive.
Product condition: you can also return goods that have been used or unpacked, or that no longer have their original packaging or tags

Faulty or damaged goods
Period for claiming a fault: up to six years from delivery of the goods – within the first 30 days you can reject a faulty product and ask for a full refund, and for the first 12 months a fault is presumed to have been present on delivery
How: write to us at info@lunzo.ie and attach a photograph or a video of the goods – in most cases you do not have to send the goods back
Remedies: a replacement with a new item, a reasonable price reduction, or a refund of the full purchase price
