Thermal Conductive Pad for Chips 85 x 45 x 1 mm 21 W/m.K Grey Non-Conductive for Cutting for Laptops Consoles and Graphics Cards

The thermal conductive pad for chips measuring 85 x 45 mm and 1 mm thick fills the millimetre gap between the component and the cooler. Such a distance is often encountered in laptops, gaming consoles, or graphics cards above the memory and power supply. The material with thermal conductivity of 21 W/m.K transfers heat from the component to the cooler and prevents an insulating air layer from remaining between them. The grey rectangle can be cut with scissors into any size pieces. Both surfaces are covered with a blue protective film.

  • Thickness 1 mm – the pad is selected based on the distance between the chip and the cooler. It is best to measure the original pad after disassembling the device, as too thin a pad will not sit properly and too thick a pad may prevent the cooler from being pressed down properly.
  • Format 85 x 45 mm – from the surface, a larger piece can be cut for a larger chip or several smaller pieces for memory, transistors or controllers. The leftover material is suitable for further repairs or for other devices with the same gap.
  • Thermal Conductivity – the value of 21 W/m.K is suitable for components that heat up significantly under prolonged load. The pad also fills minor irregularities and height differences between chips. It is applicable, for example, on GDDR memory, power transistors, or SSD controllers.
  • Electrically Non-Conductive – the material does not conduct electricity and according to the parameter table can withstand a breakdown voltage of at least 9.8 kV at a thickness of 1 mm. It can therefore be placed directly on the populated printed circuit board.
  • Protective Films – the blue films protect the surface during cutting and storage. They are removed only during assembly, first from the side facing the chip and finally from the side facing the cooler.
  • Suitable Devices – laptops, gaming consoles, graphics cards, processors, M.2 SSDs and chipsets on motherboards where the manufacturer accounts for a millimetre gap between the component and the cooler.

The grey pad 85 x 45 x 1 mm is designed for servicing cooling in laptops, consoles and desktop computers when it is necessary to replace hardened or torn pads. After removing the cooler, any remnants of the old material are removed from the chips and the surface is cleaned. The pad is cut into the necessary pieces, the films are removed, and the pieces are placed on the components, onto which the cooler is then returned. The pad with millimetre thickness is suitable for devices where the manufacturer accounts for this gap. Thanks to the area of 85 x 45 mm from one piece, there will be enough pieces for memory and power supply of the graphics card as well as for other chips.
