Thermal Conductive Filler Pad 120 x 20 x 3 mm with Conductivity 21 W/m.K Grey Cuttable for Graphics Cards and Laptops

The thermal conductive filler pad, with a thickness of 3 mm, is designed for areas where there is a three-millimetre gap between the component and the cooler. Such a distance is typical for some coolers of graphics cards, laptops, or gaming consoles above memory, power supply, or auxiliary chips. The pad with thermal conductivity of 21 W/m.K fills this gap and transfers heat from the component to the cooler. It is supplied as a grey strip 120 x 20 x 3 mm, from which pieces can be cut with scissors according to the size of the chips. It is protected on both sides by a blue protective film.

  • Thickness 3 mm – it is crucial that the pad matches the gap in the specific device. The best guide is the measured thickness of the original pad or data from the service documentation. The correct thickness ensures that the cooler makes contact with both the main chip and the surrounding components.
  • Heat Transfer – conductivity of 21 W/m.K serves to dissipate heat from components such as graphics memory, power circuits, SSD controllers, or chipsets. The pad adapts to the surface of the chip and compensates for its minor irregularities, preventing heat from passing through an air layer.
  • Safe for Electronics – the material does not conduct electricity and has a breakdown voltage of at least 9.8 kV per 1 mm according to the parameter table. Therefore, it can be placed directly on the populated printed circuit board.
  • Cutting as Needed – the strip 120 x 20 mm can be cut into smaller pieces with scissors, which are placed on individual chips. For a continuous series of components, a single longer strip can also be used. The unused remainder of the strip can be stored for future repairs.
  • Protective Film – the blue film on both sides protects the pad from dirt and facilitates handling. It is removed only when the piece is applied to the component.
  • Applications – graphics cards, laptops, gaming consoles, M.2 SSD drives, processors, and chips on motherboards where the manufacturer anticipates a 3 mm gap.

The grey pad 120 x 20 x 3 mm will be useful during service and maintenance of cooling systems when it is necessary to replace old, hardened, or torn pads. After removing the cooler, any remnants of the original material are removed, and the surfaces of the components are cleaned. The pad is cut into the required pieces, the film is removed from them, the pieces are placed on the chips, and the cooler is returned to its place. Thickness 3 mm is intended for devices where the manufacturer accounts for this gap. One strip is sufficient for multiple components, such as memory and power circuits of the graphics card or chips in a laptop.
