SP300 NC3020 turning inserts are replaceable cutting edges made of sintered carbide for metal turning. They are used to separate finished parts from the bar and to create grooves and notches on the workpiece. The pack contains 10 pieces of class NC3020, which are stored in a plastic case with compartments. The inserts have a distinctive gold colour, and each one is stamped with the designation NC3020. They are clamped into a grooving holder for SP300 type inserts.

  • For Grooving — the insert cuts the finished part from the rest of the bar directly on the lathe. There is no need to cut the part additionally with a saw, and you can continue processing it immediately.
  • For Notching — with the same insert, you can create grooves and notches, for example, for retaining rings, O-rings, or thread relief. One insert thus covers two common operations, and you do not need to change the tool.
  • Sintered Carbide — the inserts are made of sintered carbide, which is commonly used for metal cutting tools due to its hardness. Therefore, they are suitable for turning various metal workpieces in the workshop.
  • Compatibility — the inserts are clamped into a holder for SP300 type. The holder is not included in the package, so please check what type of inserts your holder uses before ordering.
  • Class NC3020 — the designation NC3020 is stamped on each insert. This allows you to distinguish it from inserts of other classes that you have in your workshop. When reordering, simply specify the designation SP300 NC3020, and you will receive the same type.
  • Gold Finish — the inserts have a gold colour, making them easily identifiable among other tools in the workshop at first glance.
  • Quick Replacement — you can remove the dull insert from the holder and replace it with a new one. The holder remains clamped in the tool head, and you can continue turning immediately. Replacing the insert is quicker than regrinding a conventional turning tool.
  • Case with Compartments — each insert is stored in its own compartment. This protects the inserts, and the case can be easily stored in a drawer or toolbox. The side of the case has a label with the designation SP300 NC3020.
