The solar animal repeller is a device designed for outdoor use, such as in gardens or properties. It combines a sound alarm, flashing light, and motion sensor that can respond to movement in the monitored area.
The device is equipped with a motion sensor with a range of approximately 5–8 metres, which can activate the light or sound alarm upon detecting movement. The detection distance may be affected by temperature conditions.
The repeller contains 6 flashing red LEDs that create a light signal when the device is activated. Simultaneously, a sound alarm can be triggered with adjustable volume settings.
The sound is reproduced using a powerful speaker with adjustable volume at three levels. The device allows playback of a dog barking sound or playback of your own sound thanks to the recording function.
The integrated recording function allows you to save a sound recording of up to 20 seconds. Recording is initiated by pressing the button for approximately two seconds.
The repeller offers several operating modes:
- Mode A: continuous flashing for 24 hours and alarm upon detecting movement
- Mode B: flashing and motion sensor alarm only at night
- Mode C: cyclic flashing and alarm every 5 minutes
- Off: the device is turned off
Power is supplied by a solar panel 5 V / 120 mA, which charges the built-in battery. The repeller contains a Li-ion battery 3.7 V with a capacity of 1200 mAh, which allows for extended operation of the device.
The device can be charged in two ways. Solar charging may take more than 10 hours, while using DC charging 5 V / 1 A can charge the battery in approximately less than 2 hours.
