The solar animal repeller is a device designed to protect gardens, yards or other outdoor areas from unwanted animal intrusions. It combines a sound alarm, light signals, and a motion sensor that reacts to movement in the vicinity of the device.
The device is equipped with a motion sensor with a range of approximately 5–8 metres, which can activate a sound or light signal upon detecting movement. The sensor's range may be affected by environmental temperature conditions.
The repeller contains 12 red flashing LED lights that create a light signal when activated. This light effect can be combined with the sound alarm according to the selected mode.
The sound system uses a built-in speaker with 13 different sounds and allows volume adjustment at three levels. The device also supports a recording function that enables saving a custom audio recording with a maximum duration of 15 seconds.
Power is provided by a 5 V / 1.2 W solar panel (monocrystalline silicon panel), which charges the built-in battery. The repeller is equipped with a 3.7 V Li-ion battery with a capacity of 2000 mAh, which allows for longer operation of the device.
The device supports multiple operating modes:
- Mode 1: 24-hour flashing and motion sensor alarm
- Mode 2: 24-hour flashing only when motion is detected
- Mode 3: flashing and motion sensor alarm at night
- Mode 4: motion sensor flashing only at night
- Mode 5: device off
Included with the device is a wireless RF433 remote control, which allows for remote operation of the repeller. The remote control's range can be approximately 10 to 100 metres in open space.
Charging can occur in two ways. The solar panel can charge the device for approximately more than 8 hours, while using DC charging 5 V / 1 A can fully charge the battery in less than 2 hours.
