Overview
Seeds of Potentilla indica 1000 pcs Ground Cover Perennial with Red Strawberry-like Fruits For Borders, Greenhouses and Pots

Potentilla indica, Indian potentilla, is a ground cover perennial known to growers for its red strawberry-like fruits resembling small strawberries. The fruit is round, red, and covered with tiny bumps containing seeds, as clearly seen in the image of the fruit. The plant has trifoliate green leaves and creeping shoots, which allow it to spread across an area. It is grown in borders in sunny to partially shaded locations, in greenhouses or in pots. The pack contains 1000 seeds from which you can grow your own plants. The fruits are edible, but have a mild and watery taste.

Key features:

  • Red strawberry-like fruits — round red fruits resemble small strawberries and are covered with tiny bumps containing seeds, making them the main attraction of the plant.
  • Trifoliate green leaves — the plant has trifoliate green leaves and forms a dense low cover that blankets the ground.
  • Ground cover perennial — Potentilla indica is a perennial plant suitable as ground cover for borders, slopes, and beneath taller plants.
  • Creeping shoots — the plant spreads through creeping shoots, quickly covering any bare area in the border.
  • Yellow flowers — before the fruits appear, small yellow flowers develop on the plant, which later turn into red fruits.
  • Growing in borders — the plant is grown in sunny to partially shaded locations, and can also be cultivated in greenhouses or pots.
  • Edible fruits with mild taste — the red fruits are edible, but have only a mild to bland watery flavour.
  • Suitable for pots and window boxes — the plant can also be grown in pots or window boxes on terraces and balconies, where the creeping shoots cascade beautifully over the edge.
  • Low maintenance cultivation — Indian potentilla is an easy-to-grow plant that effectively covers the ground and spreads readily.
  • Pack of 1000 seeds — an exceptionally large supply of seeds suitable for large-scale sowing, repeated cultivation, and covering extensive areas.
  • Growing from seeds — you have control over the entire development of the plant from germination to fruiting perennial, allowing you to adapt it to your conditions.
  • Decorative cover — the combination of green leaves and red fruits creates an attractive decorative cover throughout the season.
