This fuel level sensor is designed to measure the amount of liquid inside a tank using a float mechanism. The measuring rod has a length of 550 mm (22"), which corresponds to the recommended tank height of approximately 560 to 575 mm. This length makes the sensor suitable for larger tanks used in applications such as trucks, boats, or other technical devices intended for storing fuel, oil, or other liquids.
The sensor is designed for a power supply of 9–32 V DC and the maximum operating current reaches ≤60 mA. These parameters allow integration into standard electrical systems used in transport technology or industrial devices.
The device is constructed for operation in various temperature conditions. The operating temperature ranges from -30 to +75 °C, while the storage temperature can be from -40 to +85 °C. The sensor's design is also protected by an IP67 rating, which provides protection against dust and resistance to temporary immersion in water.
Installation is carried out using a circular flange with five mounting holes. The installation is performed using the included M5 screws and a 2 mm thick gasket, which helps ensure a tight connection between the sensor and the tank.
The measurement resolution of 21 mm allows monitoring of changes in the liquid level within the tank and provides an indicative information about the current amount of fuel or other liquid.
