The replacement pad for chip cooling with a thickness of 2 mm is designed for areas where a two-millimetre gap separates the cooler from the component. Such a distance occurs, for example, in gaming consoles, graphics cards, or laptops above memory and power circuit components. The material with thermal conductivity of 21 W/m.K fills the gap and transfers heat from the chip to the cooler. The grey pad measures 85 x 45 x 2 mm and can be cut into pieces with scissors according to the size of the components. It is protected on both sides by a blue removable film.

  • Thickness 2 mm – the pad must match the gap in the device as closely as possible. It is advisable to measure the original pad after disassembly or refer to the service manual to ensure the cooler properly contacts all components.
  • Format 85 x 45 mm – one pad can be prepared into multiple pieces for memory, power transistors, or controllers. The remaining material can be stored and used for future repairs or in another device with the same gap.
  • Thermal Conductivity – the value of 21 W/m.K is applicable to components that heat up the most during gaming or prolonged loads. The pad also compensates for minor unevenness and different heights of chips, ensuring heat does not pass through the air gap.
  • Safe for the Board – the material is electrically non-conductive and has a dielectric strength of at least 9.8 kV per 1 mm according to the parameter table. Therefore, it can lie directly on populated components even where it slightly overhangs adjacent parts.
  • Removable Film – the blue film protects the surface of the pad from dust during cutting and storage. It is removed only during assembly, first from the side facing the chip and then from the side facing the cooler.
  • Where to Use It – gaming consoles, desktop computers, laptops, graphics cards, M.2 SSDs, and chips on motherboards where the manufacturer anticipates a 2 mm gap between the component and the cooler.

The grey pad 85 x 45 x 2 mm is suitable for maintaining cooling when the original pads have hardened, dried out, or been damaged during the removal of the cooler after years of use. First, the cooler is removed, old residues are cleared away, and the surfaces of the chips are cleaned. Then, the pad is cut into the necessary pieces, the film is removed from them, they are placed on the components, and the cooler is returned and tightened. Thickness 2 mm is intended for devices where the manufacturer anticipates this gap. Pieces for memory and power of the console, graphics card, or laptop can be prepared from the area of 85 x 45 mm.
