A bulk pack of 100 seeds of papaya is a cost-effective choice for growers who wish to work with this popular tropical fruit tree on a larger scale. The species originates from the tropical regions of Mexico and Central America and is currently widely cultivated in nearly all tropical countries around the world for its juicy orange fruits. The habit of the plant is unmistakable – a single slender trunk topped with a crown of large palmate lobed leaves, on which large oblong oval fruits gradually ripen from green to yellow to orange as they mature. - 100 seeds of Carica papaya
When purchasing a larger pack, it is advisable to divide the sowing into several batches during the warm months and to experiment with different seed preparation methods, thus determining the most suitable method for one's own growing conditions. Before sowing, we recommend soaking the seeds overnight in lukewarm water and then sowing them in a permeable substrate at a stable temperature of around 28 °C. Young seedlings grow exceptionally quickly in good conditions and under ideal conditions can begin to flower and fruit within the first or second year of life. For successful cultivation in European conditions, it is essential to provide the plant with a heated winter garden, a well-lit interior, or a greenhouse with temperatures consistently above 15 °C and possibly a spot on a sunny outdoor terrace in summer. This 100 seed pack of Carica papaya offers a convenient supply for anyone planning long-term or repeated work with this classic tropical fruit tree.
