The flap disc with a diameter of 125 mm and a central hole of 22 mm is designed for angle grinders. The flaps are made of non-woven abrasive fabric, which is a flexible fleece saturated with abrasive grain, and are densely arranged around a solid centre. The disc is used for cleaning rust and old coatings, for matting and fine grinding, as well as for polishing metal surfaces. It is suitable for steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, welds, and metal frames, and can also be used for wood treatment. The red fleece grinds more gently than a traditional flap disc with sandpaper, thus leaving no deep scratches and ensuring a smooth and even surface. Before mounting, check that the diameter of the disc and central hole of 22 mm match your grinder and that the grinder is designed for discs with a diameter of 125 mm. Securely tighten the disc with the clamping nut and let the grinder run briefly idle to verify smooth operation without wobbling. While working, guide the disc evenly across the surface at a slight angle, do not apply excessive pressure, and allow the flaps to work at their own pace. Excessive pressure unnecessarily increases the wear of the flaps and overheating of the workpiece. For thin sheets and soft metals, such as aluminium or copper, work with shorter strokes to prevent overheating of the material. Always use the grinder's protective cover, safety glasses, gloves, and a respirator, and securely clamp the workpiece on a stable surface.
The 125 mm non-woven fabric flap disc is a practical addition to any workshop where metalwork is performed. It is suitable for flat surfaces, edges, pipes, and profiles, making work easier where manual grinding and polishing would take too long. With one disc, you can clean steel parts of rust and prepare them for further coating, or unify the appearance of stainless steel and aluminium surfaces. How do I return goods?
