The Montessori busy board in the shape of a toaster is a sensory toy for cooking play, offering the child several activities from the kitchen and home in one place. When the lever is pressed, slices of bread pop up from the toaster, on the side, the child can slice carrots with a click, just like real food, and the rotating knob makes a pleasant clicking sound when turned. The child can also practice plugging a fork into the socket and unlock the door with a picture of a bear baker by pressing a button. With dimensions of 15 x 13 x 12 cm, the toaster fits comfortably in the hands and easily fits into a bag for outings. The toy does not require batteries and operates purely mechanically.

Cooking play is one of the most popular activities for children as it allows them to imitate adults. The toaster therefore combines cooking play with the practice of practical skills, such as pressing, turning, slicing, or plugging in. By repeating these movements, the child practices fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration. The clicking sounds and popping toast bring joy from immediate results and motivate further play. The child can prepare breakfast for their plush toys, slice vegetables for lunch, and invent their own kitchen stories. The busy board is a favourite tool in Montessori pedagogy because it allows the child to explore at their own pace and without adult assistance. Young children build self-confidence and joy from what they can achieve on their own.
Thanks to its compact size, the toaster is a practical screen-free travel toy that keeps the child entertained in the car, on the train, or in waiting rooms. The toy is pleasant to touch and has no sharp edges. We recommend using it under adult supervision. The busy board toaster makes a fun gift for children aged 3 and above for birthdays, holidays, or just for fun. The Montessori toy combines play with learning and promotes the child's independence. Parents, grandparents, as well as nurseries and children's corners looking for a meaningful active toy will appreciate it.
