The Montessori busy board in the shape of a retro tape recorder is a musical sensory toy with LED lights that combines playing radio with practising fine motor skills. With the yellow button, the child switches between five melodies, and with the rotating knob, they can adjust the volume themselves. Four switches and buttons in the top row illuminate green, red, purple, and yellow lights, the sliding switch turns on a large light with smoothly changing colours, and the rotating switch on the right speaker activates a colourful carousel of five LEDs. On the left speaker, there is a maze where the child moves a squirrel figure. The toy measures 29 x 17.8 x 4.7 cm and, thanks to its sturdy handle, can be easily transported from room to room.

Small children love to press buttons and see what happens. The tape recorder responds to every movement with a melody or a lit light, playfully teaching them the relationship between cause and effect. By clicking switches, turning knobs, and moving the squirrel through the maze, they practise fine finger motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The vibrant colours of the lights encourage colour differentiation, while the melodies develop hearing and a sense of rhythm. The child can play DJ, playing songs for stuffed animals or experimenting with which button lights up which colour. The retro design with the cassette and keyboard also entertains parents. The busy board is a popular tool in Montessori education because it allows the child to explore at their own pace and without adult assistance.
The volume can be muted, so the toy won’t disturb siblings or neighbours and is also suitable as a screen-free travel toy. The edges are rounded, and the surface is smooth and pleasant to the touch. We recommend using it under adult supervision. The musical tape recorder is an original gift for children aged 3 and above for birthdays, Christmas, or just for fun. Montessori toys combine play with learning and promote the child's independence. Parents, grandparents, as well as nurseries and play areas will appreciate it as a meaningful active toy.
