Microscope slides come in a pack of fifty pieces, complemented by one hundred square cover slips measuring 20 x 20 mm. These are empty glass slides without printing and without finished samples, on which you can prepare your own specimens for observing biological material. The glass is pre-cleaned, so the slides can be used immediately after unpacking. The slides with ground edges are neatly arranged in a box with a lid, keeping them protected from dust. This set is suitable for basic biological sciences, laboratory exercises, and initial experiments with a microscope.

  • 50 microscope slides – empty transparent slides form the supporting part of the specimen, onto which a drop of water, dye, or a thin slice of the sample is applied.
  • 100 cover slips – thin square slips are placed over the applied sample, flattening it into a thin layer and separating it from the microscope objective, preventing the front lens of the objective from getting dirty.
  • Size of cover slips – a square with a side of 20 mm covers even larger drops of liquid or wider slices of plant tissue.
  • Ground edges – the microscope slides have ground edges, making them comfortable to hold when applying the sample or when inserting under the stage clips.
  • Clean glass without printing – the clear surface does not obstruct light from the microscope illumination, and there are no marks or labels on the slides that would interfere with the field of view.
  • Box for microscope slides – slides stored vertically side by side can be easily removed one at a time without needing to touch the surface of other slides, and the box lid protects them from dust and scratches during storage.

This pack is ideal for places where new specimens are regularly prepared and the consumption of slides is higher, such as in classrooms, at science clubs, or during home investigations of samples from nature. The pack contains twice as many cover slips as slides, providing enough for ongoing replacements when preparing additional samples. Cover slips measuring 20 x 20 mm offer sufficient surface area for common samples such as onion skins, parts of leaves, fungi, pollen, or drops of water from ponds. Glass microscope slides can be marked with a marker or label before observation to indicate which sample is on which slide, keeping everything organised even when working with multiple specimens simultaneously. Thanks to the slides being ready for use without further cleaning, work with specimens can begin immediately after opening the box.
