The mechanical timer switch with an hourly range allows for convenient setting of the operating time of an appliance from a short 10 minutes up to a full hour. The rotary dial with markings of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 minutes offers precise time dosing without the need to use an app or programme a display. The classic mechanical design does not require batteries and reliably cuts off the power to the appliance once the time has expired. Installation into a flush-mounted box is the same as a standard light switch, so the replacement takes only a few minutes.

The hourly time range is the most universal choice for most domestic applications - an hour is sufficient for heating a standard boiler, charging a portable device, preheating an electric blanket before sleep, or for a cycle of storage heating. It is also very often used for pumps that refill water into a tank, where after a predetermined time the switch automatically stops pumping and prevents overflow. In boiler rooms and technical rooms, it is popular as a safety element for heating devices with higher power consumption. Once the countdown is finished, the contact disconnects automatically until you turn the dial to a new value again. It is essential to switch off the incoming circuit breaker before wiring.
