The horizontally arranged float switch is mounted on the side of the tank or reservoir and is used for automatic detection of liquid level. When the level changes, the float tilts around the pivot and the magnet inside activates the reed contact in the body, thereby controlling the connected device - pump, alarm, topping up or signalling. The PP plastic construction with a sealing O-ring ensures waterproof mounting and resistance to mildly chemical liquids. The sensor operates passively, without its own power supply, and is particularly suitable for aquariums, hydroponic systems and small tanks where there is no space for a conventional vertical float.

The side float switch is a popular solution in aquaristics, hydroponics and small technological tanks where precise water level control is required without the sensor resting on the bottom. The float rotates on the pivot at a small angle and, at the extreme position, emits a short switching signal - it can be used for automatic topping up of evaporated water, to protect the pump from running dry, to signal overfilling of a marine aquarium and to control pumps in hydroponics. For proper function, it is important to connect the switch via a relay to ensure that the direct current breakdown does not exceed the maximum switching value. Compact dimensions and easy side mounting make it a versatile component for DIY home automation projects for filling and emptying tanks. The sensor operates maintenance-free for a long time and can withstand hundreds of thousands of activations without wear.

Faulty or damaged goods
Period for claiming a fault: up to six years from delivery of the goods – within the first 30 days you can reject a faulty product and ask for a full refund, and for the first 12 months a fault is presumed to have been present on delivery
How: write to us at info@lunzo.ie and attach a photograph or a video of the goods – in most cases you do not have to send the goods back
Remedies: a replacement with a new item, a reasonable price reduction, or a refund of the full purchase price
