The gear shift knob with LED backlighting is designed for Audi A6 C6 (2005–2011) and Audi S6 C6 (2006–2008) vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission. It replaces the original gear selector knob and gives the centre console a different appearance due to its flatter shape with an expanded top and silver frame around the entire perimeter. On the front of the knob, there is an indicator for positions P, R, N, D/S, and manual shifting +/− with LED backlighting, which makes the currently selected position easily readable at night, in a tunnel, or in low visibility. The arrangement of the symbols corresponds to the markings on the selector cover in the vehicle's centre console. The top part of the knob is covered with black leather, which complements the silver frame and the side release button made of coated ABS plastic. For the electrical connection of the backlighting, the knob is equipped with connecting wiring and connectors, making it suitable as a replacement for a worn or damaged original knob as well as an interior upgrade for the vehicle.
