This fuel level measuring probe is designed for monitoring the amount of liquid inside the tank. The sensor uses a float mechanism that converts the movement of the liquid level into an electrical resistance signal 0–190 Ω. This range is commonly used in many fuel level indicators and allows compatibility with various measuring devices.
The measuring rod has a length of 500 mm (20"), which corresponds to the recommended tank height of approximately 510 to 525 mm. Due to this length, the sensor is suitable for deeper tanks used in applications such as marine systems, commercial vehicles, or other technical equipment.
The device is designed to operate with a power supply of 9–32 V DC and its maximum operating current reaches ≤60 mA. These parameters allow integration into standard electrical systems used in transportation technology or industrial applications.
The sensor is mounted using a flange with five mounting holes. Installation is carried out using the included M5 screws and a 2 mm thick gasket. The gasket helps ensure a proper seal between the tank and the sensor, minimising the possibility of liquid leakage.
The sensor is equipped with an IP67 protection rating, which ensures protection against dust and also resistance to temporary immersion in water. This allows the device to be used in environments with higher humidity or in applications where contact with water may occur. The measurement resolution of 21 mm enables monitoring of changes in the liquid level within the tank.
