Overview
EU Socket Adapter with Residual Current Device, Protection Against Current Leakage, TEST and RESET Buttons, 16 A / 250 V, RCD, IP44 Rating, for Household Use

The socket adapter with a residual current device (RCD) adds protection against electric shock to a standard socket without the need for electrical installation modifications. Simply plug it into a wall socket and connect the desired device, such as a washing machine, refrigerator, air conditioner, or kitchen appliance, to its front socket. The device continuously monitors for leaking current and in the event of detection, automatically disconnects the power, thereby reducing the risk of injury. It is a protective socket with a safety switch that acts as a household circuit breaker against current leakage right at the specific appliance. The adapter with an EU plug can handle loads of up to 16 A at a voltage of 250 V and, thanks to its compact size and IP44 rating, is suitable for use in kitchens, laundry rooms, living rooms, and offices.

  • Residual current device (RCD): when unusual, leaking current is detected, it disconnects the power to the connected appliance, thus protecting individuals from electric shock.
  • Load and voltage: maximum 16 A at 250 V AC, for operation in a network of 220–250 V AC.
  • TEST and RESET buttons: use the TEST button to check that the device correctly disconnects the power, and the RESET button to restore power to the socket.
  • Indicator light: a red indicator lights up when the socket is live, and after disconnection, it goes out, making it easy to see whether the device has tripped.
  • Testing before use: plug the adapter into the socket and press RESET – the red indicator will light up. Then press TEST – the indicator must go out. If it remains lit, do not use the adapter. For further use, press RESET again.
  • After the device has tripped: first remove the cause of the current leakage and only then press the RESET button.
  • Construction: casing made of durable flame-retardant PC plastic with IP44 rating; control buttons and indicator are located on the front above the socket.
  • Connection: EU plug on the back and EU socket on the front – simply insert the adapter into the wall socket and plug the appliance directly into it.
  • Usage: for refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, kitchen appliances, and other electrical devices in both home and office settings.
  • Dimensions: approximately 10.7 × 4.8 × 3.4 cm (height × width × depth).
  • Package contents: 1× socket adapter with residual current device

The socket residual current device represents a simple way to enhance safety when using electrical appliances in both home and office settings without modifying the electrical installation. As a portable residual current device, it can be easily moved to another socket, for example from the kitchen to the laundry room, depending on where it is needed. On the front of the adapter, there is a notice ALWAYS TEST BEFORE USE, making it advisable to check the device's function using the TEST button before each use. A brief testing procedure is also printed on the back of the adapter for easy reference, so you always have it at hand. When plugging in appliances, ensure that their consumption does not exceed the maximum load of 16 A.
