Overview
Electrically Non-Conductive Thermal Pad 120 x 20 x 1 mm with Conductivity 21 W/m.K Grey for Cooling Graphics Cards and Processors

The 1 mm thick cooling pad is designed for areas where there is a millimetre gap between the chip and the cooler. Such gaps often occur on graphics cards above memory chips and power transistors, as well as in laptops or gaming consoles. The pad achieves thermal conductivity of 21 W/m.K and dissipates heat from the component to the cooler, even in places where thermal paste is unsuitable. It comes as a grey strip measuring 120 x 20 x 1 mm, which can be cut with scissors to the required sizes. Both surfaces of the pad are protected by a blue removable film.

  • Thickness 1 mm – the millimetre layer fills larger distances between the component and the cooler. When replacing, it is best to maintain the same thickness as the original pads to ensure the cooler makes contact with the main chip and surrounding components.
  • Heat Dissipation – a conductivity of 21 W/m.K is suitable for components that generate a lot of heat under load. Typically, this applies to GDDR memory on graphics cards or power circuits around the processor, whose temperature rises quickly without a quality pad.
  • Breakdown Voltage – according to the parameter table, the material withstands at a thickness of 1 mm at least 9.8 kV and does not conduct electric current. Therefore, the pad can be safely placed directly on populated components.
  • Cut to Size – rectangles corresponding to the size of the chips can be cut from the 120 x 20 mm strip. Smaller pieces can be placed side by side, allowing one strip to cover a series of memory modules and several transistors.
  • Removable Films – the blue protective films on both sides protect the pad from dirt. They are removed gradually, first from the side applied to the chip and then from the side facing the cooler.
  • Wide Application – in addition to graphics cards and processors, the pad is also applicable to M.2 SSD drives, chipsets on motherboards, in laptops, or in gaming consoles. The crucial factor is always the gap between the component and the cooler in the specific device.

Contents of the Package:

  • 1x thermal pad 120 x 20 mm

The pad measuring 120 x 20 x 1 mm is useful for servicing graphics cards, replacing hardened pads, or installing a new cooler. The procedure is simple: remove the cooler, clean off any remnants of old pads, clean the chips, cut the pad, and after removing the films, apply it to the components. The strip with thickness 1 mm is suitable where the device manufacturer anticipates a millimetre gap. Because it is electrically non-conductive, it does not matter if it slightly overlaps surrounding components. The grey colour of the pad is easily distinguishable from the chips on the board, making it easy to check its placement.
