Overview
Dracaena Draco Seeds 30 pcs Rare Tree Plant with Sword-shaped Leaves for Indoor and Container Cultivation

This package containing 30 seeds of the species Dracaena draco subsp. draco is primarily intended for growers who plan to cultivate multiple specimens of this rare Canary tree at once. Dracaena Draco is among the most renowned trees of the Atlantic Ocean, and its mature specimens reach impressive sizes. Young plants form a simple rosette of narrow green leaves and only over the years do they begin to branch and develop the characteristic spreading crown. A larger quantity of seeds offers the advantage of selecting the most suitable individuals, allowing the strongest seedlings to be chosen for further long-term cultivation. It is also suitable for community gardening projects, education in horticultural schools, or for staggered sowing at various seasonal intervals.

When dealing with a larger number of seeds, it is advisable to plan the sowing in several batches to give the grower better control over the entire process. Before sowing, we recommend chilling the seeds in the fridge for several weeks or soaking them thoroughly in lukewarm water — both methods improve the chances of germination. Choose a permeable substrate based on peat with sand or perlite, and cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil. To promote germination, maintain a constant temperature of around 25 °C and higher humidity. Gradually transplant the germinated seedlings into separate deeper containers, where the root system can develop without restriction. In the first years, the plant requires moderate watering, a bright location, and a frost-free environment in winter — outdoor cultivation in our conditions is not sustainable in the long term.

Package Contents:

  • 30 pcs of Dracaena draco subsp. draco seeds

A package of thirty seeds is suitable for anyone who takes the cultivation of Dracaena seriously and wants the convenience of a larger number of sowings. Young seedlings with a rosette of leaves are suitable as striking specimens for interiors and over the years acquire increasingly interesting appearances. Cultivating in the European climate requires a consistently warm environment — outdoor cultivation year-round is not sustainable in our conditions, hence the plant thrives best in a container. The set with 30 seeds allows for the distribution of sowing among multiple growers, experimenting with different sowing methods, or raising several specimens for gradual expansion of the collection. Home-grown specimens of this tree are among the most rewarding and collectible horticultural projects.
